Help

The facts behind the buttons. We maintain our own reference of the card-grading industry — live tier data, turnaround reality vs. advertising, API availability per grader — so the binder’s dropdowns and hints stay accurate.

Adding cards

Three ways to add (type it in, cert lookup, import file), the keyboard shortcuts, and what carries over between cards in a fast-loop session.

  • ·Cmd/Ctrl+Enter to Save & add another
  • ·Slab cert paste → Enter → Cmd+Enter loop
  • ·Sticky template + this-session list
  • ·Front + back image upload, hover/tap to flip

Grading — PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC

Every service tier, current fees, real-world turnaround, and the quirks each grader expects you to know.

  • ·PSA Feb 2026 tier list + pricing
  • ·BGS subgrades + Black Label math
  • ·SGC post-Collectors turnaround reality
  • ·CGC Pristine 10 vs BGS Black Label
  • ·CSG → CGC merger (2023) — what happens to legacy slabs

Value tracking (eBay)

How CardboardChasr auto-refreshes your card values from eBay active listings — the formula, the limits, and the caveats.

  • ·Median of lowest 5 active asks (no sold comps — here’s why)
  • ·Confidence buckets: low / med / high
  • ·Daily limits and cron schedule
  • ·Turning it on/off + frequency settings

Using values for insurance

Whether and how the values in your binder belong on an insurance schedule. The honest answer, not marketing.

  • ·Comp vs Owner values, plus what each is and isn’t
  • ·Typical insurer thresholds for requiring an appraisal
  • ·Recommended path for high-value collections
  • ·The disclaimer in plain English

Import troubleshooting

When the import wizard skips rows or flags errors, here’s what each message means and exactly how to fix the source spreadsheet.

  • ·Common error messages and their fixes
  • ·Card Ladder, Collectr, and generic CSV/XLSX support
  • ·Multi-player rows + dual autos
  • ·Rollback and what it does

eBay seller account

What connecting your eBay account does, what permissions we ask for, what we store, and how to disconnect. Plain talk; no marketing.

  • ·Why connect — drafts, auto-import sales, listing badges
  • ·Exact scopes (sell.inventory + commerce.identity.readonly)
  • ·What we store and where
  • ·How to disconnect from either side

Search tips

Power-user syntax for the binder search bar — inclusion, exclusion, OR groups.

  • ·`-gold` excludes gold parallels
  • ·`(auto memorabilia)` matches either
  • ·Match what Card Ladder power users already know

Personal APIs

Paste your own grader + marketplace tokens. CardboardChasr never stores them in plaintext on the client.

  • ·PSA Public API setup (100 calls/day free)
  • ·How tokens are stored and protected
  • ·What each token unlocks

Industry context

As of 2026, the card-grading market has consolidated dramatically. Collectors (PSA’s parent) now owns PSA + SGC + BGS — roughly 79-80% of trading-card grading volume. CGC is the remaining independent player and absorbed CSG in 2023. This matters when you’re deciding a grader and when comparing pop reports.
